The Illustrated Bride and The Wedding Bee

You might remember the post I did about my illustration for Wedding Bee Blogger and fellow artist Emily, AKA Mrs. Waffle, the (other) illustrated bride. Well, Mrs. Waffle is about to celebrate her first anniversary!

Check out the Wedding Bee blog she posted about a lovely shadow box project featuring my illustration! Happy anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Waffle!

You can see my original blog post about Mrs. Waffle here!

Illustration Inspiration: Vera Wang, Spring 2012

I love Vera Wang. Who doesn't? I was pouring over her Spring 2012 collection when I came across this gorgeous gown called "Holly". Needless to say, I was inspired.

    The First Illustration

I am so excited to have recently found a scan of my first official custom bridal illustration, and I knew I had to share it with you!

The bride's dress is a Miosa custom design, and we loved it so much we created a sample of the dress and named it "The Meghan", after the bride who inspired it.

Meghan became a great friend- I did my first artistic illustration of her wedding dress as a gift.  Meghan loves to support women and mothers in business-- she happens to be one of the founders and Marketing Director for The Honey Agency, a boutique creative company based in Sacramento, CA. With her vision and encouragement I launched this website, and when the time came to focus on growing my family, I quit my day job and started selling custom illustrations via my Etsy shop

Even if you've wanted to be an artist all of your life, your work is personal, and it can be scary to put it out into the world! I will always be grateful to Meghan for her friendship and support, and I love that she is in a position to continue to inspire creative people to follow their dreams!
